Stacey Scowley on AIDS/LifeCycle 2

This past summer, Stacey participated in the AIDS/LifeCycle 2 bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Here’s her thoughts on the ride:

It was an amazing first-time experience. The ride started in SF on June 8 and we rode 605 miles to LA in seven days.

On the first 100-mile day … I thought to myself, “What have I gotten myself into?” I then had to get up and do it again, and again and again. But I did it…I’m not sure how…you just do. It was physically and mentally challenging. Everyone was so supportive and it felt good to do it for a great cause. I met wonderful people and heard so many inspiring stories and I hope to do it again. I raised $2,535.00 dollars and the whole ride raised over 4 million dollars … and that feels fantastic!

When ever I see your Olive Garden commercial I always have to stop what I’m doing to watch. You are a Total Cutie. Your beautiful, dark brown eyes with your smile really do it for me. What a wonderful thing for you to do for such a good cause. Best of luck and I hope we see you more in the future.
